'Transgender Experiences in School'

documentary film

In partnership with Stonewall

Short documentary film about the experiences of transgender young people in school in Britain.

This documentary was made as part of the Stonewall Young Campaigners Programme and has since been screened at film festivals such as Brighton and Hove Pride film festival (2020) and the Pink Life QueerFest Film Festival, Istanbul (2019)

This film discusses the often negative experiences many young transgender and non-binary people face in school and what should be done to support these students.

This short documentary can be used as an educational resource for teachers and youth workers and can be found at this link:

In recognition of this film I was awarded the Stonewall Young Campaigner of the Year Award (2019) by Stonewall and I have since given multiple talks at national events such as Transgender Day of Visibility and on BBC radio.

I have also since taken this film to teacher training conferences and have attended a Pride Reception at 10 Downing Street as a representative of Stonewall.
